Men can only do one thing at a time, but they can do it very well

Brain scans have shown that when men are reading, they are virtually deaf. That’s because they can only do one thing at a time. Women’s brains are designed differently than men’s. A smart move by ,nature, because men and women complement each other because they are also different in this respect.

Supreme concentration is required during the hunt

Why can men only do one thing at a time? Going from the distant past, one could speculate that this may have something to do with women having more tasks at the same time and absorbing all the information available in the environment. Men, on the other hand, were often forced to focus on one activity, such as hunting, and needed to be able to filter out distracting information.

Brain differences

Researchers agree: The male brain is specialized. They are divided into compartments. They are shaped so that they can only focus on one specific task at a time. The often irritated sigh: ,I can only do one thing at a time, is a typical male statement. Some examples:

  • If men have to look at something with concentration, they can’t keep a radio on their head.
  • Women, on the other hand, are usually not bothered by background noise during strenuous activities. They read, listen and talk at the same time.
  • When having a telephone conversation, the average woman does not need to turn down the TV or radio.
  • If a man reads the newspaper there is little point in talking to him. He simply doesn’t hear it. An age-old complaint of women.

A woman’s brain is designed to perform multiple tasks at the same time. She can do several unrelated things at the same time and her brain is always active. She can talk to someone on the phone and try out a new recipe or watch TV at the same time. Or she can drive a car and (if it is safe and quiet) do her make-up and listen to the radio at the same time. Men can routinely drive a car and talk or listen to the radio at the same time, but as soon as the traffic situation becomes tense, suddenly no sound enters the brain. Men also get irritated if you talk to them while they are busy.

Because women use both sides of the brain, many find it difficult to distinguish their left hand from their right hand. About 50 percent of women cannot immediately recognize which hand is which without first looking at, for example, a ring or freckle. Men, on the other hand, who work only with their left or right brain, find it much easier to distinguish left from right.

Toothbrush test

Try this test: brushing your teeth. Most women can brush their teeth while walking and talking about different topics. They can move the toothbrush up and down while simultaneously cleaning the table with the other hand in a circular motion. Most men find this difficult. When men brush their teeth, their single-track brain forces them to focus entirely on that task.

To lie

A woman can lie more effectively than a man. A man can do fewer things at the same time. And so I can’t remember for long what happened. A woman can therefore often do things unnoticed, because the man does not remember it all. This makes it easier for a woman to lie, and in many other respects to do her thing more easily. Outside of marriage, it is a lot less easy to successfully lie to a man, as he is then naturally more alert and will take notes if necessary.

Which is difficult for both of them

shaking your head no (or nodding yes ) at the same time and then clearly shouting the opposite yes (or no) at the same time?
