A tropical beach party, or a beach party, is fun to organize for a family day, a bachelor party or a teenage party. On a summer day, everyone is quickly in a good mood and it’s almost impossible to miss a party.
Invitation
Of course, an email or text message is easy to send an invitation to your party, but nowadays it is more original to make a nice card for the invitation. To do this, cut out a palm leaf or provide a good digital image. Enter the text of the invitation here and ask if they would like to change their clothing to match the theme. Shorts, swimsuits, sunglasses, the more cheerful the better.
Furnishings/Decorations
Of course you can have this party in your own backyard. Parasols, sunbeds and bath towels are ideal for a cozy setting. Water pistols and water balloons provide an exciting effect. Who starts first? Furthermore, there must be nice music in the background; for example a live DJ, fun dance music or reaggae music.
If you have the opportunity to have the party at a different location, you can choose to actually go to the beach. Maybe to the sea, but a lake with a sandy beach is certainly also suitable. For a complete decoration you need perfect planning. There’s nothing better than a beach party on a warm sunny day!
Entry
Give your guests a floral skirt (Hawaii skirt) or a floral wreath upon arrival.
Games
Depending on the room, you can organize different games:
- Beach balls: Put down at least one or more beach balls. We bet that both young and old will soon be throwing up.
- Beach volleyball: If you celebrate the party on a real beach, you probably also have options for a game of beach volleyball.
- Limbo dancing: Under a stick to appropriate music. If you succeed, you are one round further. Each round the stick moves down a bit. Who can dance Limbo best?
- Water relay: You make two groups. The group has a bucket with water and a sponge in it. The first person takes the full sponge and runs as quickly as possible to the empty bucket that is about 5 meters away. Squeezes the sponge empty here and runs back. The sponge is given to number 2 and he also tries to transfer as much water as possible. After two minutes or after everyone has run twice, you can measure which team has transferred the most water.
- Other options: For further beach activities, consider a sand castle building competition, kite flying or treasure hunting. You can of course also hide the treasures in your own sandbox.
Eat Drink
A barbecue cannot be missed at a beach party. Delicious refreshing milkshakes, smoothies, (non-alcoholic) mixed drinks and fresh fruit juices. Furthermore, you must of course have a large mountain of ice cubes for the other soft drinks. Fresh cucumber, fresh pineapple, melon, strawberries and other fresh fruit can be used as a cooling snack. And what does everyone prefer to eat during a day at the beach? Naturally; ice creams!
Hand-out gifts
Adjust your gifts to the age of the party goers. For example, a frisbee, water balloon or a beach ball for the young people. For adults, you can think of a can with a mixed drink or a homemade recipe book with summery, tasty mixed drinks, smoothies and milkshakes.
